Beef Ramen
- 1 lb sirloin steak cut into thick slices
- 4 cups beef broth
Chicken Ramen
- 1 lb chicken thighs cut into thin strips
- 4 cups chicken broth
Other Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp minced ginger
- 4 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp fish sauce
- 5 oz shiitake mushrooms optional
- 1 lb Ramen Noodles dried or fresh
Toppings
- 4 soft boiled eggs halved
- 1/4 cup sliced green onions
- 1 lime cut into wedges
If using meat, season with salt and pepper and set aside.
To a large pot add 1 Tbsp oil and cook meat on medium heat. For steak, sear 1-2 minutes on each side. For chicken, cook until heated through completely. Set meat aside.
To the pot, add remaining oil and saute garlic and ginger until fragrant, about 3 minutes.
Add mushrooms (optional), soy sauce, fish sauce and broth. Simmer for about 10 minutes.
Divide ramen noodles equally between 4 bowls. Add about a cup of broth to each bowl and top with meat (if using), eggs, and other desired toppings. Cover bown and allow noodles to soften in the hot broth for up to 3-5 minutes.
Sprinkle green onions and squeeze lime juice to garnish. Enjoy!
